Description of WorksThis project consisted of the dismantling and full removal of a Sile Lime Silo located in Moe’s Water Treatment Plant.

Works were completed with low noise and vibration methods as the Water treatment plant remained in full operation throughout the works. Due to the close proximity of the water treatment process tanks and filter systems all personnel worked with due care and attention to ensure no disruption was caused to production facility. Any disruption to the facility would have major impacts on the water supply to the Gippsland area.

The lime silo was stripped down to the shell to be lifted out via a mobile crane to be loaded onto a transport truck and taken off site for further processing and recycling.

Due to limited space at the site this project required crucial planning and scheduling of trucks/bin collections to not interrupt critical deliveries and operations at the water treatment plant.

All works planned and managed directly with the Operations Manager of the facility to ensure the works did not cause any disruption.
